Looking for video games with lesbian heroines? Good news: several titles are available, and of quality. Here is our selection.
Lesbians exist in video games. Not everywhere, but some titles have built their plot around heroines with homosexual sexuality. And here, we are not only talking about small, little-known productions. There are also blockbusters with undeniable qualities that we can mention on the occasion of Lesbian Visibility Day.

Life is Strange
Life is Strange is one of the most popular games of recent years. Its first argument is to fit into the narrative genre, which allows you to experience an adventure while quietly letting yourself be carried away by the story. The other strong point lies in its casting, with the presence of Chloe Price, a teenager who embodies freedom, self-confidence and fulfillment. We quickly understand why Max falls in love with her. Moreover, the popularity of Chloe Price is such that she was chosen as the main character of the spin-off Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
The Last of Us Part II
In the first game The Last of Us, we play Joel, a gruff individual. He must escort a teenager, Ellie, who would be the solution to an epidemic which has ravaged a large part of the population. In the DLC, we discover that Ellie is attracted to girls. She will fully assume her sexuality in The Last of Us Part II, sequel where she becomes one of the playable characters. She will even find love there, from the start of the adventure. Ellie is not the only gay protagonist in the game: there is also Bill, who is entitled to an entire episode in the eponymous series.

- A little less stiffness wouldn't hurt
- No Part III please
Horizon Forbidden West
The saga Horizon, born on PlayStation 4, revolves around a heroine who goes beyond the usual codes. It's better this way. We remember his determination, his courage and his ability to survive in a post-apocalyptic future. Above all, unlike other heroines, Aloy is not excessively sexualized. It is in the DLC that we discover his romance with another woman – to the great dismay of certain intolerant people. Aloy therefore has everything of an icon.
Strong points
- Yes it's beautiful
- Fights against robots, always exhilarating
- We want to explore everything
Weak points
- Unpleasant gameplay hiccups
- Main plot that suffers from open structure
- Disappointing Performance mode
Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Assassin's Creed Odyssey starts with a choice: either you play Alexios or Kassandra. As in many RPGs with immense content, you are free to fall in love with whoever you want. Therefore, we have the opportunity to play a lesbian warrior in ancient times. Today, Assassin's Creed Odyssey is rid of this concern with a DLC, which forced the player to have a heterosexual relationship, regardless of the choices made before. Ubisoft made an update due to legitimate criticism.
Strong points
- Beautiful and huge
- Content to resell
- A real RPG
Weak points
- Diluted narrative arcs
- Too slow progress
- Disappointing fights
Unpacking
Like Life is Strange, Unpacking is a much more relaxing experience than the other games in the selection. Adorable, it involves accompanying a young woman in her moves, unpacking her boxes. We won't tell you why Unpacking is in our guide, leaving you the pleasure of discovery.
Strong points
- Accessible and satisfying gameplay
- A very pretty pixel art aesthetic
- A moving story told almost without words
- A game that can speak to everyone
Weak points
- If you hate The Sims or Marie Kondo, move on
- We would have liked to play a few more chapters
- Too many pots to store
