With the publication of Chapter 6 “Fortnite” expanded to include new content. As previously announced by Epic Games, this season is themed “Hunters,” bringing a Japanese-inspired map to the hugely successful game.
Japan theme and map with special features
The map of the new season of “Fortnite” was revealed in a trailer and shows, among other things, a lively city, snowy mountains, traditional temples and cherry blossoms.
What particularly catches the eye is a huge turtle, on whose back players can apparently move and hide. Godzilla, who was already hinted at in the key art for the new season, is also in Chapter 6. As the trailer shows, the iconic creature could be a roaming threat.
In addition to the map, new weapons and mechanics were also introduced. Samurai swords are returning to “Fortnite”. A mask, which can be obtained in a boss fight, also appears to play a key role. You can use it to attack opponents with fireballs, for example.
New movement mechanics in Chapter 6
New movement mechanics are also demonstrated in the gameplay trailer for “Fortnite”. These include a massive jump followed by a roll that prevents fall damage, as well as a wall jump. Whether these mechanics will be generally available or tied to specific items remains to be seen.

Changes to the Battle Pass and return of Fortnite OG
With the start of Chapter 6, changes to the Battle Pass model will also come into effect in “Fortnite”. The standard Battle Pass will now cost 1,000 V-Bucks, which corresponds to a price increase of 50 V-Bucks.
The real price of V-Bucks remains unchanged and players can continue to earn V-Bucks through Battle Pass progression. The 25-tier Battle Pass reward package will also be reduced from 1,850 to 1,800 V-Bucks.
