Champagne-au-Mont-d’Or’s turn to become a “Ville 30”

After Poleymieux, Oullins, Lyon and soon Villeurbanne, it is the turn of Champagne-au-Mont-d’Or to take the plunge.

The town located north of the capital of Gaul has indeed signed an agreement on June 14, in the form of a metropolitan decree, with the community led by ecologists Bruno Bernard. It will soon become a city where the speed on the road is limited to 30 km/h.

It is for a question of safety that the mayor Véronique Gazan wished this legal reduction of speed. As reported Progress, only Avenue Charles-de-Gaulle will remain at 50 km/h. The panels will be installed gradually and markings on the ground will be made in the coming weeks.
