Capcom suggests Street Fighter VI announcement next year

Street Fighter VI

Street Fighter V started shakily but is one of many games that have actually gotten better and a success over time after hard work by Capcom. Given that it will be six years old in 2022, however, many have begun to wonder when it’s time for Street Fighter VI, and Capcom has hinted that it would be under development.

Recently, Capcom held one livestream to draw attention to the upcoming launch of Street Fighter V character Luke, who will be the last to the game. In connection with that, director Takayuki Nakayama also said that Luke is “featured in the next Street Fighter project”, and also added:

“Street Fighter V is a springboard to move on to the next project, so this is more of a ‘see you soon’ rather than a ‘goodbye’. We look forward to providing you with more information next year!”

In short, it sounds like we can look forward to a new Street Fighter next year, or how do you interpret this?
