It's now been almost ten days since the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion of Elden Ring made its debut on our machines. While some have managed to complete it with difficulty, others are setting themselves completely crazy challenges! This is notably the case of the streamer MissMikkaa who managed to beat the last boss in a very particular way.
She finishes Shadow of the Erdtree with a dance mat
FromSoftware's games are known for their difficulty, and for years now, players have been trying to push the limits of the impossible, for example by facing bosses with Guitar Hero instruments, or even a dance mat. This is specifically the case for our interested party today.
MissMikkaa is a fan of this kind of challenge. She had set herself the mission of playing two versions of Elden Ring at the same time, one with a PlayStation 5 controller, the other with a dance mat. She had thus managed to defeat Malenia after 3 days and 199 attempts.
If you've played Shadow of the Erdtree, you'll know that the expansion is extremely tough in terms of difficulty. So, this time she simply opted for a run with the dance mat. She managed to beat the last boss after 52 tries and 7 hours of dancing. In total, it took her 7 days to complete the DLC, giving her time to die 325 times, including 69 times because of gravity.
This is obviously reminiscent of Dr. Doot's feat of finishing the expansion with… a saxophone! If you too want to take on completely crazy challenges or just discover Shadow of the Erdtree in normal conditions, you can enjoy it on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
I DID IT! ALL bosses of my dance pad Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree run have been deFEETed!
The last boss fell after 52 tries and 7 hours of dance-padding (my feet hurt). DLC took me 7 days in total with 325 deaths; 69 of them to gravity, nice.
I hope Miyazaki is proud of me. pic.twitter.com/DqbgLxTCXz

Everyone was telling me how utterly impossible the Final Boss of Shadow of the Erdtree was going to be. Outrageous moveset, impossible dodges, etc
…
It only took me a dozen attempts on the saxophone.
THE WORLD'S FIRST (afaik) ALT CONTROLLER DLC RUN HAS BEEN DOOTED !🎷 pic.twitter.com/nUzPmfgsNx
