Can you cancel Game Pass and keep the games?

Short and painless: no, Unfortunately that does not work! If you cancel your Game Pass subscription, you will no longer have access to the service's games after the subscription expires. If you like a game so much that you want to continue playing it, you will have to purchase it separately.

In addition, once your subscription expires, you will not only lose access to all games from the service, but also to all other benefits. For example, you will no longer have access to EA Play and no longer have Xbox Live Gold if you cancel your Game Pass Ultimate.
