The trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard “Zombies” leaked ahead of its time via YouTube ads, giving viewers a first glimpse of the mode prior to its official announcement today.
Sledgehammer is announcing a Zombie mode in Call of Duty Vanguard today, but some players won’t be as surprised. Over the past few hours, an announcement trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard has been leaked and randomly played as a YouTube ad.
Like the previously released teaser trailer, the video is a remix of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” song. The video shows soldiers fighting hordes of undead, and ends with the proclamation: “A new chapter of the war is about to begin.”
Vanguard’s Zombie mode is not being developed by Sledgehammer, but Treyarch, the creator of the mode, and will act as a prequel to Zombie mode in Black Ops Cold War. As expected, the Vanguard will reveal more of the zombie story and make some changes and improvements to the main mode, but details are not known at this time.
The launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard, the new installment in the series and the long-awaited return to World War II, is fast approaching. It will be released on November 5, 2021 on PC and consoles.
