Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War: Indications for an imminent launch are increasing

The Call of Duty: Black Ops shooter series is set to continue this year – and there are increasing indications that the official launch is slowly but surely getting closer. A potential pre-order bonus has also already been leaked.

Activision will of course be releasing a fresh Call of Duty again this year and the new part of the shooter series is reportedly Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War. Most recently, a large Xbox Games Showcase was announced for June, which will be followed by a larger direct edition. According to insiders, Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will be presented in detail during this Direct, but the official presentation and announcement of the shooter should take place in advance.

The new Black Ops is expected to be presented in May. Data miners have now found corresponding information in the form of references in the current update for Call of Duty: Warzone. In the game files, the mention of “s3_cerberus_reveal” can be found in several different places. A blueprint was also found that, with the mention of “SALLY 6”, could suggest that this year's title could also simply be called Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

At the beginning of April, the usually well-informed colleagues from Insider gaming a report from The Verge picked up and verified that the game will have a larger appearance at the above-mentioned Xbox Showcase, but that will not be the first presentation. Given the additions to Call of Duty: Warfare, there is still a high chance that the new Black Ops will be officially announced in May – we can expect a first major deep dive as part of the showcase in June.

Meanwhile, Dataminer has already found the first indications of a possible pre-order bonus. A Frank Woods operator for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone has now appeared within the game files. Early buyers of the new Black Ops 6 could receive this for their purchase decision.
