First of all, let's start by telling you that to be able to do everything that we will describe to you later, you will absolutely have to have done the “Call of Freedom” quest in Fallout 4. If this is not yet the case, make sure to finish it before continuing with this article.
Once it's good, go to Sanctuary and talk to Mama Murphy to be able to launch this famous quest “The Vision”. The first thing to do will be to give him Jet to get information. Then Mama Murphy will tell you she's too tired.
She will ask you to make her a chair. So go to the nearest workshop and go to the special items menu to build him his chair. This will require 4 wood, 3 fabric and 1 steel. Once it's good, return to Mama Murphy and give her the chair.
Once this is done, you unlock a new game mechanic. In the same way that Mama Murphy gave you information against Jet a few minutes before, you will be able to now have news whenever you want.
For this, there are two things to know. The first is that even if the visions are unlimited in themselves, it will not be possible to chain them together. Indeed, between each of the visions, you will have to respect a one hour cooldown. But how to trigger these?
Well, we'll just have to provide Mama Murphy with some products. You can give him Mentats, Med-X or even Buffouts. Technically, you can also provide him with Psycho, but we strongly advise you not to do so!
Indeed, if you give her Psycho, Mama Murphy will have a vision, but it will be her last! Taking Psycho will give him a heart attack. Be careful, even without Psycho, taking drugs will not succeed in Mama Murphy who usually overdoses after 4/5 visions.
However, know that it is possible to save the latter! By talking to her, you will simply be able to convince her not to take drugs anymore. Be careful before doing so because without drugs, Mama Murphy no longer has visions!
