Bug knocked out Google's load balancer in the cloud

Google’s customers experienced problem with the company’s cloud service last week after Google’s Cloud Load Balancer was knocked out by a bug. Something that was first noticed by The Register.

The bug was materialized six months ago and was discovered on 12 November. Google started working on a solution but a paltry 30 minutes before the bug was removed on November 16, it was activated and knocked out Google’s Cloud Load Balancer.


The total disruption to Google’s cloud services will last for 1 hour and 53 minutes.

Google promises that the disruption will not affect the reliability of the company’s platforms ahead of the major Black Friday and Cyber ​​Monday shopping holidays.
