The Fallout series on Amazon Prime Video has created new hype for post-apocalyptic role-playing games. Building on the excitement, Bethesda is now releasing a free update for Fallout 4 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Update from April 25, 2024: The next-gen update for Fallout 4 is out today. The role-playing game should be able to use the full power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC gamers can be happy that the Steam Deck is now also supported. An exact time for the update is not known.

Fallout 4: New update for consoles and PC
Fallout is back. Since April 12th you can watch all eight episodes of the new series on Amazon Prime Video. The adaptation of the popular role-playing game series has already been very well received by critics. Now Bethesda is also in touch new updates back for the post-apocalyptic adventure.
The publisher announced this in a blog post Next-gen upgrade for Fallout 4 at. The free update should enable 60 FPS and improved resolution on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Bethesda also promises a performance mode, new graphics settings as well as improved stability and bug fixes. Players on older consoles don't miss out either. The PS4 and Xbox One are set to receive a patch that will also improve stability there and fix some errors related to login and quests. The release date for the updates is April 25th.

You'll soon be able to play Fallout 4 on the Steam Deck
Bethesda hasn't forgotten PC gamers either. After a free update, Fallout 4 will also support widescreen and ultra-widescreen monitors. The role play becomes additional optimized for the Steam Deck. The PC version should also receive the same stability and bug fix update as the consoles.
You can get it through the Creation Club (Bethesda's own platform for mods). Access to a new quest around the Enclave, new skins as well as armor and weapons. You can find more information and first images in the official blog post (source: Bethesda).
