“Best series of the year” is now getting a second season

These numbers certainly made those responsible at Netflix pale with envy. Incredible 99 percent positive reviews from critics speak a more than clear language on the Rotten Tomatoes portal. And the audience was there too 90 percent more than impressed.

As a result, many people are already calling Shogun the best series of the year. The special thing about it: This time a current series highlight cannot be found on Netflix, but on its competitor Disney Plus. And all without colorful Marvel heroes or Star Wars fanfare. Had a huge disappointment Shogun but then still ready.

Will there be a second season of Shogun?

Until now, this was considered impossible. And for a good reason. As the makers of Shogūn announced, the 10 episodes of the first season are based on the legendary literary original would have done enough justice and would have found a perfect ending. But apparently a rethink took place.

The incredible success among critics and audiences most likely caused Disney to rethink. There's actually going to be a second season now of Shogun give. Fans of Japanese history as well as Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon will almost freak out with joy. When is that time?

When are new episodes of Shogūn on Disney Plus?

Since there will apparently actually be a second season of Shogūn, millions of viewers still have to be patient. Disney is currently working in the background on appropriate contracts and obligations. But the ink on a very special signature seems to have already dried.
