AVM FRITZ!Box 7590/7590 AX: Laboratory for FRITZ!OS 7.90 started

AVM is now starting the next round: the Berlin manufacturer of FRITZ!Boxes and Co. is now starting laboratory tests for the upcoming FRITZ!OS 7.90. The first test is carried out with the FRITZ!Box 7590 AX and FRITZ!Box 7590. Over time, other boxes and repeaters will also be added to the laboratory. The upcoming version is internally called “SmartP1,” which suggests that there will primarily be innovations in the smart home area. There has already been an announcement for Matter, which may already be available in the official release. There are also numerous other improvements within the version.

Mesh overview

There are already numerous visual innovations in the first version. Among other things, the mesh overview and the DSL area have been revised. In addition, there are also improvements and bug fixes under the hood to run better on the various connection types. I've added more screenshots in the picture gallery if you don't want to install the laboratory version but are interested in the new features.
