Audi has unveiled the RS Q E-tron E2 Dakar Rally electric bike. It was created in collaboration with the Italian company Fantic, which specializes in such products.
This bike uses an aluminum frame, dual suspension design with Öhlins air shocks (front with 17 cm of travel), derailleurs and hydraulic disc brakes made by SRAM, a Sella Italia saddle and Vittoria tires. Long suspension travel and aggressive rubber make the bike almost all-terrain, and the electric motor operates in four modes – from easy assistance to the cyclist to full driving without muscle power. The motor power is 250 W, and the battery with a charge of 720 Wh is enough for 50-150 kilometers, depending on the selected mode.
Audi is selling the RS Q E-tron E2 Dakar Rally electric bike for $10,000. This is almost twice as expensive as models from Geep and Hummer.
