As well-known industry insider Tom Henderson reports, Ubisoft will use its own “Ubisoft Forward” format for a detailed gameplay presentation of “Assassin’s Creed Red”. Last month Ubisoft announced that the next “Ubisoft Forward” edition will take place on June 10, 2024 and can of course be followed live in the form of a stream.

Extensive previews in June?

Henderson also reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, that the press will have the opportunity to play “Assassin's Creed Red” as part of the Summer Game Fest 2024. In keeping with this, the media should be given the opportunity to convey their impressions to readers in the form of previews.

“It is currently unclear whether the game will be revealed before Ubisoft Forward in typical Ubisoft fashion, where the game is usually given a cinematic trailer, an official name and an approximate release date.”

As mentioned at the beginning, “Assassin's Creed Red” transports us to feudal Japan. In order to implement this setting in a historically accurate manner, the team relied on the support of external Japan experts. While Ubisoft remains silent about the story, several sources have said that in “Assassin's Creed Red” we will be in control two playable characters take over.

On the one hand, we are dealing here with the samurai Yasuke, who actually lived in the 16th century should have existed. Number two in the league is the female shinobi Naoe Fujibayashi. After an order member kills her father, Naoe sets out on a quest for revenge and accidentally meets Yasuke.

From then on, events take a dramatic turn, which leads to Naoe and Yasuke coming together to form an unlikely team.

“Assassin's Creed Red” is likely to be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
