Arrowhead buffs 2 once popular weapons with next update

Arrowhead Game Studios today announced two weapon buffs that will be part of the next update.

“Helldivers 2” will be continuously updated.

A few days ago, Arrowhead Game Studios announced a major update with several adjustments. It will be released on September 17th on PlayStation 5 and PC.

“A buff a day keeps the bugs away” is the motto of the update. The development team now wants to announce one change every day until the release.

The first of these relates to the FlamethrowerBecause this weapon was perceived by players as too weak, the developers increased the damage by 33 percent. The mechanics will be brought back to the level before the big “Escalation of Freedom” Update reset. Additionally, flame-based weapons can now damage heavily armored enemies like Strikers and Hulks.

Change number two concerns the RailgunHere, too, Arrowhead has opted for a buff and will therefore increase the permanent damage from 60 to 225. The fully overloaded damage will again increase from 150 to 250 percent.

These buffs should mean that significantly more players will request the flamethrower and the railgun in the future. After previous nerfs, many people decided against these two support weapons.

The team is not only tinkering with the weapons, but also with the enemies. This should make it more worthwhile to defeat them, while the gameplay remains challenging.

“Helldivers 2” has been available since February this year. The price is still 39.99 euros in both the PS Store and Steam. Updates are free, while equipment packages such as the most recent “Flame of Freedom” can be purchased optionally.
