April’s PlayStation Plus Games: A New Call of Duty and Minecraft Adventure Await

The months pass and look the same. It must be said that Sony contributes to this, by offering new video games to be collected “for free” every thirty days. At the start of each month, PlayStation Plus subscribers can collect several games at no additional cost. They are then forever in their games library, as long as they continue to subscribe to the service. Who then succeeds Sifu, Destiny 2: the Witch Queen, Hello Neighbor 2]and EA Sports F1 23 offered in March?

For the fourth month of the year, PlayStation is returning to its traditional methods with three games offered to all subscribers. As usual, the brand varies the gameplay experiences since we find a fantastic FPS created by former veterans who worked on Call of Duty; the strategic spin-off in the Minecraft universe and a roguelite intended for challenge fans:

“What if instead of a helicopter, it was a dragon?” This is a question asked by Bret Robbins, founder of Ascendant Studio and former creative director on Call of Duty. He left Infinity Ward to create a variation of this first-person shooter (FPS) in a world filled with magic. This is how Immortals of Aveum was born, released on PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 in August 2023. The player plays Jak, an individual whose magical powers awaken after an emotional shock. He then joins the army to repel the invader. Immortals of Aveum is a good surprise with an impressive staging with an excellent rhythm which it would be a shame to miss with this offer.

Minecraft Legends: pawns per square kilometer

Minecraft Legends is the third video game iteration of the Mojang license. The studio, after having tried its hand at the sandbox game genre but also at hack'n'slash (Minecraft Dungeons), changes register with real-time strategy. The player must build bases and repel waves of enemies using the troops he has on his payroll. Minecraft Legends has several modes including a single-player campaign which allows you to learn more about the myths and legends of the Minecraft world.

Skul: the perfect video game for showing off

This time, it is humans who are portrayed as odious individuals. In Skul: The Hero Slayer, a group of adventurers took all the residents of the Demon King's castle prisoner after their successful raid. All ? Noooo, a little skeleton survived the crushing defeat of his companions. He then decides to go and free them. If he does not shine with his size, it is through his skills that he manages to get rid of his enemies. Depending on the skull he wears, his abilities differ. Perfect for varying approaches in a game where death is part of the journey.
