Apple “inevitably” will release the iPhone 14 in yellow

Rumors that Apple will introduce at least one new color option for the iPhone 14 are ‘imminent’ informed Mark Gurman of Bloomberg on his Twitter.

Last week, there were rumors that Apple plans to release the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in a new yellow color scheme. Several sources told MacRumors that Apple’s PR team plans to hold a media briefing this Tuesday, March 7, which could be related to the new color.

Apple often introduces new iPhone colors in the spring to boost mid-cycle sales. On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, Apple introduced a new green color for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini models, as well as a new Alpine Green color for the iPhone 13 Pro model. In April 2021, Apple released the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in purple.

The new iPhone 14 color variant is likely to be announced in a press release on the website Apple Newsroom.

Apple first introduced the iPhone 14 line last September. The new color will be a purely cosmetic change, while the hardware will remain the same. The new iPhone 15 line is expected to be announced in about six months.
