Apex Legends unveils its season 21 with a new legend and a special Solos mode

Alter, a legend that weighs

Alter is a legend who can travel between different dimensions using his interdimensional void travel technology, hence his nickname: the void manipulator. Enough to put a little more movement in the parts ofApex Legends. Here are its abilities:

  • Gift of the Rift (Passive) : Alter can remotely see and interact with nearby frag crates to collect a unique item. Even though shield cores cannot cross the Void, she can take any other loot from a distance.
  • Void Passage (Tactical) : The Quirk's tail fires a blast of Void, which shatters against a surface to open a dimensional portal from one side to another for a short time. Passing through the portal is instantaneous and can be done in either direction, but Legends who use it remain briefly in a phased state after exiting. The angle of this shot, which determines the surface on which the exit will open, can be used to pass through ceilings and ledges. Alter therefore has every interest in placing his passages creatively.
  • Void Nexus (Ultimate) : Alter can deploy a Void Nexus that all allies can activate remotely to open a phase tunnel to this location. When a tunnel is opened, the Legend moves from its location to the Void Nexus and leaves behind a portal that anyone can pass through. The Nexus can even be used on land, so it's a great way to regroup Alter squad members to better get back into the race.

The return of the special Solos mode

Solos mode will mark its return by temporarily replacing Duos mode at the start of the season. Available from May 7 to June 24, 2024, it offers the opportunity to conquer the Wild Lands solo, integrating elements of the most popular modes to enhance the experience. Participants will benefit from improved enemy detection abilities, specially equipped weapons and unique accessories, while taking advantage of new mechanics such as automatic healing and second life chances. One mode is ideal for those who prefer to play alone.
