The first season of the Fallout series is a real hit for Prime Video. While a season 2 has been made official, its showrunners shared their plans for the sequel in an interview with GQ. And these could even go further, if the opportunity arises. Be careful though, transcribing this inevitably involves some SPOILERS. So remember to equip yourself with appropriate clothing in the Wastelands.

Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, showrunners of the hit series Fallout, apparently have no shortage of ideas for the sequel. At the microphone of GQ, both returned to the end of the first season, which in this sense opens many doors for Lucy MacLean and her irradiated gang. It is here that SPOILERS will slip away. You have been warned.

After a perilous quest to find her father, Lucy MacLean learns terrible truths about her father Hank's past. He barely manages to escape. The last shot of the final episode of the series shows us contemplating the legendary city of New Vegas. However, it appears in much worse condition than in the Obsidian game released in 2010, which takes place 15 years before the events of the Prime Video show. Graham Wagner explains this to us in these terms: “ The world of Fallout is a place of constant tragedy and horror. Things are constantly changing and evolving and never remain static. “. Season 2 should therefore take place in a version of New Vegas very different from the one players remember.

New revelations await us

Beyond the geographical setting for season 2 of the Fallout series, the showrunners indicate that many revelations are expected in this season, and even beyond. The elements narrated in the eight episodes currently available apparently do not cover the entire story they intend to tell. Attention, new SPOILERS. The series notably implies that Vault-Tec had a leading role in the Great War which ended in 2077 with the dropping of nuclear bombs which ravaged the surface of the Earth.

I wouldn't want to take everything you saw at face value, because everything is subjective. This scene took place. But what happens between this and the bombs falling… We have some exciting things to talk about between these two events », says Graham Wagner. We should thus be entitled to many other flashbacks in season 2 of the series. We can bet that many of them will be centered on Hank MacLean, father of Lucy and played by Kyle MacLachlan. Another very popular actor, also a fan of the games, could also join the party: Aaron Paul. In any case, all this announces an exciting and ambitious sequel for the adaptation of Fallout on the small screen. Perhaps too much for only a second season? The radioactive future will tell us.
