Google has launched a new neural network option in Android. Writes about it Phone Arena.
According to the source, we are talking about a completely new experience of interacting with a smartphone, in particular, in correspondence with other people. Now Android has learned to respond to messages instead of you: the Magic Compose option is enabled for beta testers and offers several options for helping with chats at once.
- Firstly, the new setting can respond to messages instead of you. It is enough to give her permission once, and the smartphone will compose the text itself and send it to the interlocutor.
- Secondly, the most incredulous can only turn on the generation of drafts, and sending or correcting a message written by a smartphone remains at the user’s choice.

Google explains that after activating Magic Compose, the smartphone uploads the last 10 chat messages to the server, analyzes them, and compiles a suitable response based on the already existing dialogue. Most likely, processing directly on a smartphone is not yet supported, since not all devices have suitable hardware for such calculations.
Apple does not yet offer anything like this in its iPhone and iOS, and in general it is very reserved about neural networks. Moreover, auto-correction completely broke in iOS 16: users massively complain about the crazy tips of the native iOS keyboard and are waiting for the situation to be fixed.
