FROM TRACK TO ROAD – Original, Gran Turismo and Sportiva. Four years after its arrival on the market, theAlpine A110 goes into three ways, underlining the versatility and the many facets of its soul, both sporty and elegant. The renewal of the coupé range comes at the end of a very important year for the French manufacturer, which in 2021 made its debut in Formula 1 and confirmed its commitment also in Endurance races, where starting from 2024 it will compete in the Hypercar category. From the track to the road, the step is short and the new versions of the Alpine A110, which can be ordered starting today, seem to confirm this with new equipment and some updates to the engine control electronics.
IT IS NOW A CLASSIC – The range opens with the Alpine A110, which in Italy starts from 60.800 euro. It remains the most classic model, and doesn’t need too many introductions. Thanks to a very low weight and well distributed on the two axles (1,102 kg, 44% at the front and 56% at the rear), the agility between curves is the same as ever. The 252 hp delivered by the turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder ensure brilliant performance, with a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 250 km / h. The 17-inch alloy wheels, with ten-spoke design, are fitted with 205/45 R17 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires at the front and 235/45 R17 at the rear. The Sabelt sports seats are standard: two-way adjustable, they have a mixed black leather and microfibre upholstery with contrasting gray stitching.
ELEGANCE (AND HORSES) AT WILL – More devoted to elegance, while maintaining the DNA of an agile and agile sportswoman that distinguishes it, is the Alpine A110 Gran Turismo, immediately recognizable by the launch color Thunder Gray and the badge GT posted at the end. On this version the engine gains almost 50 HP, reaching 300 and thus expressing the potential of the transalpine “1800” turbo at an even higher level. The standard equipment, rich and complete, includes, among other things, a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors with also the camera and more comfortable seats, also branded Sabelt but completely covered in leather. with contrasting blue stitching and adjustable to six different positions. Compared to the normal model, acceleration performance increases, with a time of 4.2 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h. However, the maximum speed remains unchanged. The price also increases, with a price list starting at 70,850 euros.
FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE TRACK – At the top of the line-up, with prices starting from 73,050 euros, is the Alpine A110 Sportiva (in the photos), whose plate with “S” at the rear and on the door sills, it identifies a configuration centered on emotions and driving pleasure. Chassis, brakes, exhaust, in short, everything, from the first to the last bolt, has been revised in a racing perspective, with the possibility – for customers who do not mind a bit of healthy tuning – to equip the car with aerodynamic appendages in carbon. The bold is unprecedented Fire Orange bicolor livery in which the fiery orange of the car body contrasts with the deep black of the roof. The external detail elements are also black, such as the “Alpine” lettering and the 18-inch GT Race alloy wheels from which the large orange painted brake calipers can be glimpsed. Scent of racing also the passenger compartment: the Sabelt sports seats, in microfibre with orange contrast stitching and – if desired – six-point seat belts, have a specific design to better contain the rider’s body when cornering, while the aluminum pedals ensure greater grip. For customers with a passion for the track, Alpine has provided, on request, special Michelin semi-slick tires and a specific aerodynamic kit designed to generate an overall downforce of 141 kg and bring the top speed to 275 km / h.
