Gameplay: How does Gray Zone Warfare play?

In Gray Zone Warfare you roam alone or with up to three friends the fictional island of Lamang, which is inspired by southeastern Laos. The region was evacuated and placed under quarantine due to a mysterious event, while three private military companies were tasked with returning any valuables to the site.

As a player, you take on various orders, put together your equipment and are then dropped off in Lamang. But the mission isn't a quick tourist trip: you'll have to deal with all sorts of enemies – in total, per server up to 48 players and 1,000 AI soldiers will be active. You should be prepared for nerve-wracking gun battles.

As is usual in extraction shooters, it's not just about finding valuable loot, but also about hunting survive. If you manage to escape unscathed, you can keep your loot and sell it. However, if you are shot, bleed to death or fall to your involuntary death, your equipment will be lost along with all the items you have collected.

According to their own statements, the developers place particular value on this authentic gunplay and health system. The latter should work without classic hit points, but rather every injury affects your body and requires an individual solution in order to be healed again.
