A programmer made a CAPTCHA in which you need to play Doom

A captcha has appeared on the internet, in which the user needs to play a mini-version of Doom to prove that he is not a robot. It was created by programmer Miguel Orteza and can be found on Github.

CAPTCHA is an automated test that allows you to determine whether a person or a computer is using the system. Most often, to pass it, you need to recognize the distorted text and enter it in the answer field. However, in DOOM Captcha, the user is instead prompted to kill multiple imps.

Now, instead of looking for traffic lights, crossings and boats, you can simply destroy four demons, thereby passing the check. It’s funny that the enemies are taken from Wolfenstein , but it’s still fun.

Doom Captcha

Miguel Ortez asked not to take DOOM Captcha too seriously. According to him, this is mostly a joke, because such a test is very easy to bypass. If you type IDDQD while the captcha is running, then it will pass the check even without killing enemies.
