A New Free Item That Will Have You Drooling

While waiting for the major changes promised by Bethesda, the difficulty of Starfield will go up a notch for those who want it.

Starfield continues its journey and received a huge update 1.10.31 last March. One of the biggest patches ever deployed since launch with over 400 fixes for visuals, quests, UI and more. And this is only the beginning because Bethesda has plans for the (very) long term. For their part, players are doubling their imagination to constantly add new features. After all, the publisher gave them carte blanche, so they would be wrong to deprive themselves. The latest addition should also satisfy the thirst for challenge among some.

Starfield challenges you more than ever

Official changes are expected to be announced for Starfield soon, but in the meantime, modders are the ones providing after-sales support. Recently, Internet user TankGirl444, for example, shared a new mod to play Farming Simulator. But if industrial agriculture is not your hobby, there may be something better with a challenge never seen before. The user youngneil1 published a mod to increase the difficulty of the game's New Game Plus which, basically, already makes things difficult. With this new feature, however, the proposed challenge takes on another dimension with each New Game+ loop and even completely breaks a limit imposed normally. Forget Starfield's NG+10, it was a laugh compared to what awaits you.

By installing the “Deep End” mod on Starfield, you will be able to drastically increase the difficulty up to NG+100 where the original is content with a limit of NG+10. In the official version, the hero is dealt 10% additional damage with each New Game Plus loop. But with the mod, it goes up to 25% for the character, and 10% for the ships. Concretely, here are the modifications explained via the Deep End Nexusmods page :

  • The damage received by the player is increased by 25% with each NG+ loop, with a limit of 25x the damage suffered in NG+100
  • 10% increase in EM/Shield (including ships)/explosive damage each loop, with a limit of 10x damage taken in NG+100
  • Player damage (all types) is reduced by 5% each loop, with a limit of 50% reduction in NG+10. This is the classic Starfield operation without modification
