Do you know who is having a really bad day today? So a really bad Thursday that makes you miss hearing and seeing? Shadowlands! Why does the WoW addon have such a messed up mood? Because it quietly ended up in last place in your community rankings.
But of course there is also a shining winner: Wrath of the Lich King is your undisputed number 1. Someone should claim again that an oldie is no longer good for surprises!
So you voted in detail
Before we continue, here is the result approved by our editorial parrot:
Proud 3,024 users from our famous community have made the survey even more valuable with their vote – first of all, thank you very much!
Wrath of the Lich King doesn't just win – it dominates! With 1,372 votes or 45 percent, it is at the top and has to look quite far down to see Legion (523 votes / 17 percent) in second place and The Burning Crusade (486 votes / 16 percent) in third place .
There is also a surprise: The add-on Mists of Pandaria, which is considered to be rather unpopular, even made it to fourth place, even ahead of the current story chapter Dragonflight and Cataclysm.
Did you know that Shadowlands brings up the rear along with Warlords of Draenor… oh, did we mention that? Ah, then we can continue.
Finally, let's spotlight a few voices from the comments section below the survey. Do you want to guess which addon our plus star Niklaus27 came from? This is what he wrote:
Wrath of the Lich King is my favorite because of the successful portrayal of the Lich King as a solid threat, who appears always and everywhere with an appearance that is impressively portrayed. I was also impressed by the Argent Crusade with all its facets.
And what does the optimizer say? WotLK…..just because of the trailer 😉

All right, and what does Cartman666 say?
In the overall package, WotLK was simply the biggest step forward. A comprehensible, not too convoluted storyline, great zones […] with its own plot, generally the biggest step forward in graphics.
Two new mechanics came with phasing and vehicle combat […]. Plus better accessibility and later the dungeon finder, a good tool so that you can get to know the dungeons without much effort.
Well, we get it: Wrath of the Lich King is great. But there are also many admirers of The Burning Crusade, such as the good Nordel:
I would also say TBC, the last addon where there were really strong items. From WotLk onwards, only the thickest stuff was screwed on like with Mechwarrior. As a Classic player, the player base was also the largest, which is most important anyway.
We're excited to see where the upcoming add-on The War Within will rank in this ranking when we repeat the survey at some point. But it will probably take a while until then. Time that you spend either playing WoW yourself or watching our expert Mary do it. We have linked your trips to the new add-on in the box above.
